fucking magnets …
April 24, 2012
… how do they work? well, let’s find out by asking the people who’ll prob’ly know best; artists! the fabulous sameheads’ art department had another awsome idea for a group exhibition which i will be joining: pseudo science (the entry has no unique id so you might have to scroll down a little). it’s basically a collection of bullshit scientific hypotheses proven by artistic methods. or something alike.
i will be presenting a powerful magnifying device. no magnets tho, sorry. the opening starts friday at 8.
the ubernext day holds another exhibition of mine: glass invaders!
they await you at the comic invasion, a one day comic festival with book tables, live drawing, laser graffiti and nulltausendnull’s renowned comic quiz – this time in game show mode!
but wait, there’s more! the following day (in case you got confused, we’re talking about monday now) the traditional tucholskystrasse yard party takes place, organized by the renate comics team. among other things i crafted this beauty for it:

comic event guide
March 12, 2012
last weekend at our comic pub quiz i had the idea to launch a berlin comic event guide. we got a vivid scene and a bunch of exhibitions each week. and then there’s the bigger events, with the comic invasion (fb link) coming up, a next zinefest and what have you.
as y’all probably well aware of, i am already too negligent of this very, and other blogs. so let’s face it: it is highly unlikely that i launch and maintain that sort of thing by myself. i hereby consider the idea tossed around, though. mail and/or comment if you’re interested.

art sweatshop
November 30, 2011
on saturday (the 3rd) i will participate in ream (sry, only got a fb link for now). the ten of us will be drawing for 500 minutes and then selling the works for 5 euros each.
official announcement:
ream (noun)
1. A quantity of paper, formerly 480 sheets, now 500 sheets or, in a printer’s ream, 516 sheets.
2. A very large amount. Often used in the plural: reams of work to do.
10 ARTISTS
500 MINUTES
500 PIECES OF WORK
PETER BASMA-LORD
MARION J DANOFF
JACK DUPLOCK
CHLOE GROVE
TOMMY GROV
DAN HASKETT
IAN LIDDLE
HARMONY MOLINA
ANTON UNAI
CARO WEDEKIND
These ten people will be given a desk in the café & eight hours & twenty minutes to produce fifty drawings each from the ream of five hundred collectively. The time, between midday & 8.20pm, can be used as each artist chooses.
Each piece must be completed & hung in the gallery in time for the vernissage at 9pm that evening.
None of the five hundred sheets of paper may be substituted or thrown away.
This is an experiment in creativity & stamina which will hopefully result in a gallery full of five hundred beautiful & interesting images.
The works will then be for sale at a nominal fee of 5€ each so throughout the day the exhibition will build & then slowly be deconstructed as the artworks are bought & taken away.
Feel free to come down during the day while people are drawing or see the end result from 9pm.
Coming shortly………….reamexhibition.wordpress.com……….with live updates as the work is produced.

mosaic works
October 15, 2011
just a quick linkdump of what’s going on:
let’s bau! meet me and see some works of mine at the mosaic show next friday at the terrific new baustelle (berthelsdorfer str. 11). there might be booze involved.
also meet me (and see some zines of mine) at the zinefest on november 26th and 27th. wanna help organizing the event? drop me a line!
and what else have i been doing (when apparently it wasn’t updating this site)? start a new one, of course! slightly dazed is highly autobiographic and will be updated twice a week. i can say that with some certainty because at that rate i already have comics in stock for two months.

ab jetzt und open for the summer: der reading raum
